วาล์วปีกผีเสื้อ (Butterfly valve) เป็นวาล์วในตระกูลวาล์วที่เรียกว่า quarter-turn valve (วาล์วที่หมุนได้หนึ่งในสี่ของวงกลม) ตัว “ปีกผีเสื้อ” คือลิ้นวาล์วที่เป็นแผ่นโลหะวงกลมต่อกับก้านวาล์ว เมื่อวาล์วปิดตัวลิ้นวาล์วนี้ก็จะหมุนมาอยู่ในตำแหน่งที่ปิดทางไหลของของไหลได้อย่างสมบูรณ์
