3. จุ่มเครื่องวัดลงไปในตัวอย่างที่ต้องการตรวจสอบในระดับที่มาร์คกำหนด.
4. กวนเครื่องมือในน้ำตัวอย่างเบาเพื่อไล่ฟองอากาศ แล้วรอให้เวลาครบ 2 นาที แล้วจึงสามารถอ่านค่าได้
5. ควรมีการเขย่าหรือกวนน้ำตัวอย่างที่่ต้องการทดสอบทั้งก่อนและหลังทุกครั้ง
